Purchasing, is responsible for the management of procurement of all goods and services, including construction and professional services. Some of the major duties include the preparation of bid specifications, competitive sealed bidding, contract administration, project management, the acquisition and disposal of real property and the disposal of obsolete and surplus material.

The City of Sarasota utilizes the Demandstar service which allows you to receive the appropriate new solicitations as soon as they are issued. You can read solicitations sooner and responding is easier and more cost effective.
