This Board was established for the purposes of making recommendations to the City Commission with respect to the use, maintenance, and development of parks, parkways, and open spaces. Also the Board provides the City Commission input on the development of creative concepts of beautification and park utilization designed to provide for maximum community benefit . The board consists of 7 members who shall possess the skills necessary to make recommendations relating to use of parks, parkways and open spaces. Meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Chambers. The board is assisted and supported by the Public Works Department.
