YOUTH
ADVISORY BOARD SUMMARY

The Youth Advisory Board was established
to facilitate the involvement of young people within the Community
in the government process. The purpose of the board is to
provide the City Commission a youth perspective on issues
that affect the City of Sarasota and to educate the youth
of the City about City goverment. The board consists of 5
to 11 members who have met certain specified requirements
and have demonstrated an interest in youth involvement within
the City of Sarasota and its government. The board is assisted
and supported by the City Auditor and Clerk's Office.
