	The Internal Auditing Division of the City Auditor and Clerk's Office performs an independent appraisal function for the City, assisting management with analysis, appraisals, recommendations, counsel, and information concerning activities reviewed. The scope of the internal audit function encompasses the examination and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the City's system of internal control and the quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities.
