Where do we grow from here?

From this main page , you will find links to notices, schedules, documents and other information related to the City's report card on the success of the City's adopted comprehensive plan.

This "report card" process is mandated by the state and is called the "Evaluation and Appraisal Report" or E.A.R. The Sarasota City Plan, adopted in 1998, helps to guide growth and development in the City. With the assistance of the public, state agencies, and others, the City will review the currently adopted Sarasota City Plan to determine if its goals have been met or if the Plan requires updating.

Thank you to all who participated in the series of open houses held by staff in October and November 2004. Staff gathered over 350 comments concerning the Sarasota City Plan. See the Public Comment link above for information on the many thoughts and ideas that were shared with City staff.
